 Welcome to the "Sew a Shirt" series. The 12 videos in the series focus on all aspects of sewing a shirt, from reading the pattern envelope and purchasing supplies to the final press of the finished garment. The pattern used is McCalls M6613 – a loose-fitting unisex shirt design. Techniques used can be applied to any similar pattern or shirt design. I would classify this shirt as an intermediate level sewing project.

 This tutorial covers what information is on the pattern envelope and how to use that information to determine what size pattern you need, what kind of fabric and how much you should buy, and what other supplies are needed to sew the desired garment.  

  This tutorial covers how to read the first sections of a pattern guidesheet and how to understand the various markings on pattern pieces. 

  This tutorial shows how to understand pattern layout diagrams in a pattern, how to do pattern layout (including measuring grainlines), how to cut it out, and how to transfer pattern markings. 

 The main focus in this tutorial is on how to fuse interfacing to fabric. There is also information about understanding some of the introductory information in pattern guidesheets.
